Surveillance Investigations

Producing results under pressure for more than two decades. We are ethical, effective, and educated.

Surveillance Investigations in the San Francisco Bay Area.

There are a few different types of surveillance, ranging from a fixed position or stationary surveillance to mobile surveillance on a subject.

  • Stationary surveillance: used in order to serve legal documents on an evasive subject or to see who is visiting a property in a family law case.
  • Mobile surveillance: if you want to see where a subject is working or what the might be doing outside of work, perhaps in an infidelity.

In some cases, a GPS or tracking device might be legal to use. Our team can look at your case and determine if this is a good avenue to accomplish your goal.

Regardless of the type of surveillance, the cases are won with planning, persistence, and patience. Having good details upfront about the person such as the type of vehicle they drive, description of them, and work schedule might help the investigators save a lot of time. We look at surveillance as a series of battles. We might lose a subject in heavy traffic from time to time but with good habits, the investigators are not detected and are able to find the subject again. Surveillance does not work well on a tight budget because we don’t know or can’t control the actions of the person we will be following. In challenging cases, we might need to add extra licensed investigators.

People are creatures of habit. The challenge in mobile surveillance is to get on the subject away from their residence where they will be less likely to detect they are being followed. We might use a “spotter” to alert another investigator, further away from a residence, when the subject is leaving so that we may follow undetected.

We do foot surveillance and have the equipment to obtain covert video if the subject is in a public place. Our video is date and time-stamped. We provide a full report on each case and are qualified to testify about our video if the case is in court. Mike Spencer has written numerous blogs and articles about how surveillance really works. We have female investigators too. Surveillance is not about being invisible. It is about blending with an environment and looking the part.
